Your absolutely right, thank you 🙂 The real life is very enjoyable so far but not without throwing many obstacles our way but with that comes a lot of fun exploring😄

Good luck, my velike droogies! I’m weird in that despite all my years in the Army, I hike and climb alone.
The Appalachian Trail, Mt. Diablo, Yosemite and even the Adirondacks in winter, I go alone and carry all my own shazzbot.
I like people, I just can’t plan for other people’s silly foibles and freakish idiosyncrasies. I also don’t cook food on the trail, I eat everything cold.
Peace be the Botendaddy

Not a camper myself(I’ll get tough and dirty on the trail all day, but give me a warm meal and a comfy evening), but I love camping storie.

Yeah it’s definitely not for everyone, especially the way we’re doing it to say the least but thank you for reading my blog:)

Nice to virtually meet you. Camping would be fun in a comfy bed and hot shower…I’m not one to ruff it. I like the Marriott! Lol! But with two all boys and a bad back, I’ll be pitching a tent someday. Or hubs will do that and I’ll just make the food.

Great meeting you as well:) Haha it’s hard to pass up staying in a nice hotel verse sleeping on a rock hard ground lol. There you go, sounds like a good camping plan you came up with for when the day comes.

Did a lot of camping as a child but less now. Hope your journey into nature goes well for you. It never fails to astound me every day now.

That’s usually how life goes. As a child you have endless amount of time on your hands to do all the fun things you can think of until the day comes that your a grown up lol.

Easier to camp in California where temps are mild, then to camp in colder climates when you first need to take a plane to Eur. or somewhere else on the globe – too much gear!! Without gear I won’t go:)

Haha I’m with you on that. Gear, at least the very basics, are crucial not to mention a must. I have yet to ever camp in California, I bet it would be very fun to though.

I love your photo. It reminds me of our many camping trips when our kids were little and recently, too. We are very much into the outdoors and nature, and I thank my husband for that. He started with our son and daughter when they were very young by taking them backpacking. Since then, we’ve camped often, trying to instill the beauty of the outdoors. They’re young adults now, but still love to camp and hike. Just last year, I went backpacking with my husband. I had no interest prior to last year, and now we’re in our mid fifties. So we went in July and August (more difficult hike), and I survived. 🙂 Loved it. We plan on doing more for as long as our bodies will allow. Anyway, I look forward to reading about your adventures, and thanks for your visits to my blog also. By the way, we live in CA, so that’s where we’ve backpacked and camped, as well. 🙂
